A man who fled court before being sentenced for the death of his 1-year-old son has been arrested by Norman Police.

Zekeil Trinidad, 23, showed up for his plea and sentencing at the Cleveland County Courthouse on Thursday morning, but right before he was set to go before the judge he left the courtroom and ran out of the courthouse before anyone knew he was gone.

Authorities arrested Trinidad at a home in the 1500 block of High Meadow Dr. around 9 a.m. Saturday morning after receiving a tip. Police say Trinidad was arrested without incident.

Both Trinidad and the baby's mother, Courtney Lynn Mays, were charged with one count of Second-Degree murder and two counts of Child Neglect in the death of their 15-month-old son.
