OKLAHOMA CITY - Fantastic news Thursday. Russell Westbrook has signed a new 3-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It's 85.7 million dollars for three years. A huge chunk of change.

Westbrook will get an $8.7 million increase in salary for this season, which means $26.5 million. And then the max the next two seasons. Only one of those seasons is guaranteed because when he finished his 10th year in the NBA, the number could go up.

This five-time NBA all-star has spent his entire career with the Thunder. Eight seasons thus far, and now fans are looking forward to several more.

Since Kevin Durant parted ways with the Thunder, resigning Westbrook became a top priority.
