Since the dust has settled with the news of Kevin Durant joining the Warriors, the attention has now shifted to Durant's former Thunder Buddy: Russell Westbrook.

Without his control, the narrative surrounding Westbrook began to shift earlier this month. After a report leaked that Westbrook's playing style was one of the factors that pushed Durant out the door, the Thunder point guard has seen his name dragged through the mud on multiple occasions, and the bashing continued on Tuesday when Speak For Yourself host Jason McIntyre had some strong words regarding Westbrook.

You know who he is, he's the new Dwight Howard, nobody wants to play with him. Dwight Howard, run out of two franchises and we're going to see it with Westbrook. He marches to the beat of his own drum.

The entire video of McIntyre making that statement can be seen here, but clearly he was a bit off in his assessment. Just ask Thunder big man Enes Kanter, who took to Twitter (again) with his thoughts on what McIntyre had to say.

Kanter hasn't been shy on Twitter this offseason, and has even taken a few shots at Durant for opting to join the Warriors. The Turkish big man also had a brilliant idea to ensure Durant's Thunder jersey doesn't go to waste.

Regardless of the subtle jabs at Durant, it's encouraging for Thunder fans to see someone actually defend OKC's superstar point guard.
