OU running back Samaje Perine is one of the best running backs in the country, but the junior was slowed down a bit last season by a couple of injuries. Perine injured his ankle a couple of times last season, and needed surgery to repair a ligament in the offseason.

Despite the injury, Perine still managed to rush for 1,349 yards and 16 touchdowns last season even though he also had to battle the growing pains of the Sooners' offensive line. When talking with reporters at Big 12 Football Media Day, Perine talked about the health of his ankle while stressing how excited he is for the upcoming season. You can listen to what he had to say in the video above.
