Multiple Crews Battle Grass Fire West Of Mustang

MUSTANG, Oklahoma -

Crews are working to get a handle on a grass fire west of Mustang, Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the scene in the 16000 block of SW 74th St., about halfway between Union City and Mustang, along State Highway 152.

Authorities tell News 9 a welder accidentally sparked the fire, which spread to a wheat field in the area. It is unclear if any structures are being threatened at this time.

Firefighters out of Oklahoma City, Mustang and Union City have all responded to this fire.
