A mysterious dark blue van filled with mysterious people led to a handful of 911 calls to the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office Thursday afternoon.

Jennifer LaFoe and her family live eight miles NW of Lucky Star Casino. She said around 1 p.m., a van drove up to her home, and a woman then pounded on her front door several times.

“I hurried up and locked the door and asked her what she needed, and she wanted me to come outside,” said LaFoe.

But LaFoe called 911 instead.

She said the dark blue van had Kansas tags, and there were three men inside, besides the woman.

Canadian County Undersheriff Chris West said at least three other 911 callers from that area told deputies the same thing that afternoon.

“You don’t have to answer the door for anybody, especially if they’re banging hard on the door, or if they’re peaking in windows,” said Undersheriff West.

Undersheriff West said several deputies saturated that neighborhood in an attempt to confront the people in the dark blue van, but they were successful in leaving the area.
