Excessive Heat Warning In Effect Until Thursday Night

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

A few storms are already popping up in the Texas panhandle. These storms will try to make a run for western Oklahoma Wednesday evening. Chances lessen the farther into the state you go.

Mild and muggy conditions will continue overnight with temperatures only dropping to the upper 70s.

A cold front will move into northwest Oklahoma Thursday. There will be a slight chance of storms in western Oklahoma Thursday afternoon.

The rest of us will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 90s. The heat index will likely reach between 105 to 113 degrees! An excessive heat warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday.
