Both suspects involved in an early morning standoff at the Plaza Inn motel in southeast Oklahoma City are now in custody.

Officers arrested 28-year-old Jesse Riddle, who was holed up inside the room, without incident just after 7 a.m. He was arrested on complaints of shooting with intent to kill and possession of a firearm.

Investigators say a female was also involved and was believed to be hiding nearby in a wooded area. AirOne and K9 units were called in to search the woods behind the motel. The search was called off around 9 a.m, but shortly before 10:30 p.m., OKC Police said they had arrested the female suspect. That suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Jezreal Apple. She was also arrested on complaints of shooting with intent to kill.

The standoff started before 4 a.m. According to police, Riddle and Apple are believed to have been involved in a shooting that took place at SE 57th St. and S. Bryant Ave. around midnight.

Police say it was a drive-by shooting. They found a man shot at a convenience store. From there, they were given tag numbers of a car.

An officer found a van with matching tags at the Plaza Inn, where police believe the two suspects were hiding inside the room. The stand-off with Riddle lasted for four hours before he surrendered peacefully. Authorities has to partially evacuate the motel.

Police say the victim in the midnight shooting was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.
