Oklahoma City continues to send the message -- we stand with Orlando.

An estimated 800 people gathered near Classen and 39th St. at sunset Sunday for a candlelight vigil.

Organizers said they want to show solidarity in defiance of fear, hatred and ignorance.

Rainbow flags waived as lawmakers, activists and clergy spoke. Following the vigil, the large crowd marched from the Freedom Oklahoma headquarters to popular gay bar, Angles.

While they marched, they chanted love, peace and equality. But love is the message they wanted to convey most.

"The worst thing that we could do is allow this to turn into bitterness. Because the family and the friends who are hurting because they lost their loved ones in Orlando deserve a community that's going to stand up all across this planet in love," Clergy members said during the vigil.

Freedom Oklahoma partnered with the Council on American-Islamic Relations to put on the event.
