In a game that had everyone inside of ASA Hall of Fame Stadium on the edge of their seats the entire time, the Oklahoma softball team was able to take down Alabama in the opening round of the Women's College World Series thanks to a three-run walk off home run by freshman Shay Knighten in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Oklahoma has now won 28 straight games dating back to April 2, and advances to play at 8:30 Saturday night against the winner of LSU and Michigan.

After seven and half innings of scoreless play, Oklahoma was able to get things started in the eighth when sophomore Kelsey Arnold was hit by a pitch to open the inning, and freshman Caleigh Clifton also reached base two batters later to put runners on first and second with only one out.

Alabama's pitcher Alexis Osorio pitched a tremendous game up to that point, but Knighten was able to step up to the plate make solid contact on the ball, which soared over the right field wall to give Oklahoma the memorable win.

Walk off 3-run HR by Knighten. #Sooners take down #Bama, 3-0. I'd watch OU v Bama in tiddlywinks. @news9
