The story of the little boy who fell into the gorilla exhibit at the Cincinnati zoo strikes close to home for me, tell you why in a moment.

Yes, it is sad that the 400 pound silverback gorilla that dragged the little boy around the enclosure had to be shot by zookeepers. But I'm telling you, even the animal rights people, that if it had been your child in there you would have wanted them to make the same decision.

That gorilla was powerful enough to tear that child apart either intentionally or unintentionally.

Zoo expert Jack Hanna says he has no doubt that little boy wouldn't be with us today if zookeepers hadn't killed the gorilla.

We always want to blame someone, but you can't blame the mother, if you're a parent you know kids can slip out of your sight in 5 seconds. How do I know?

I did it myself at the Oklahoma City Zoo when I was little, I went over the rail at the bear exhibit, true story, my mom grabbed my arm and pulled me back before I fell in, so I can relate to this.

To this day, I consider myself an animal lover and I hate what happened in Cincy, but nobody wanted that gorilla to get hurt.

So, some people need to stop acting like we're evil humans who don't care about God's creatures.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
