One girl is dead and one man was arrested early Saturday after police said he was involved in two crashes in Enid, police said.

Alynn Collins was arrested on complaints of leaving the scene of an injury accident and leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily harm or death.

Police were called about 12:05 a.m. in reference to a hit and run crash in the 200 block of West Randolph.

A man riding a bicycle told police he was hit by a white sport utility vehicle. The bicyclist who was hit suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment, police said.

Shortly before 12:15 a.m., police received a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle at a high rate of speed in the 1500 block of West Elm.

A 15-year-old girl was hit by a sport utility vehicle of similar description to the first crash. Witnesses told police the driver of the vehicle stopped about a block away from the crash to close the hood of the vehicle.

The girl died at the scene.

Shortly after 12:15 a.m., police received a call about a white SUV on fire in the 700 block of Overland Trail. Witnesses told police a white man ran away from the vehicle.

Officers said the vehicle was registered to Collins and they found DNA evidence around the hood area of the vehicle in connection with the second hit-and-run.

Collins was taken to the Garfield County jail.
