The NBA found five incorrect non-calls in the final 13.5 seconds of last night’s Game 2 between the Thunder and Spurs. Here are the comments from the NBA’s Last Two Minutes report, just released Tuesday afternoon.

1. Delay of game – Manu Ginobili – Ginobili steps on the line while defending the inbounds play.

2. Offensive foul – Dion Waiters – Waiters crosses the out-of-bounds plane during the inbound and makes contact with Ginobili that affects his ability to defend.

3. Personal foul – Patty Mills – Mills grabs and holds Adams affecting his freedom-of-movement during the inbounds play.

4. Personal foul – Kawhi Leonard – Leonard grabs Westbrook’s jersey in the backcourt during the inbound.

5. Personal foul – Serge Ibaka – Ibaka grabs and holds Aldridge’s jersey and affects his shot attempt.

Crew chief Ken Mauer admitted after the game that he thought the Waiters push should have been called but that he'd never seen anything like it before.

"On the floor, we did not see a foul on the play," Mauer said. "However, upon review we realize and we agree that we should have had an offensive foul on the play. It's a play that we have never seen before, ever, but we feel we should have had an offensive foul on Waiters."

Sean Corbin and Marc Davis joined Mauer on the officiating crew.

The officials also identified seven other possible infractions as correct non-calls during the sequence.

1. It was legal for Dion Waiters to jump on his inbound – Waiters jumps during his inbound attempt, which is permissible under NBA interpretations of the relevant throw-in Rule No. 10, Section III, provided the player doesn’t leave the designated throw-in spot (laterally) or leave the playing surface (e.g. stepping into the stands) to gain an advantage.

2. Waiters did inbound the ball within five seconds.

3. Danny Green didn’t foul Kevin Durant before the inbounds play – Green and Durant briefly engage and separate during the inbounds play.

4. Danny Green didn’t foul Durant during the inbounds play – Green and Durant make incidental body contact as they jump for the inbound pass. Green then cleanly strips the ball.

5. Serge Ibaka didn’t foul Kawhi Leonard with 5.7 seconds left – Ibaka makes incidental contact with Leonard that does not affect his freedom-of-movement away from the ball.

6. Steven Adams didn’t foul Patty Mills on the final shot attempt – Adams legally contests Mill’s jump shot attempt. Any contact that occurs after Mills has landed is initiated by Mills prior to him falling on the floor.

7. Serge Ibaka didn’t foul Kawhi Leonard in the loose ball scrum – Ibaka and Leonard make incidental contact with one another while diving for the loose ball.

This wild series of events may never be repeated, but five missed no-calls is an unbelievable amount in a crucial playoff game.
