Two small earthquakes rumbled near the town of Luther, Friday morning and evening.
The first 3.3 magnitude temblor was recorded at approximately 11:20 a.m. Its epicenter was located four miles north of Luther, or about 26 miles northeast of the OKC metro, at a depth of about five miles.
The second 3.3 magnitude quake was recorded at approximately 4:56 p.m. Its epicenter was located five miles north, northeast of Luther, 17 miles north, northeast of Choctaw, and 27 miles northeast of the metro.
No damage or injuries have been reported with either quake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes of 4.0 and greater.
