A few storms formed just east of Interstate 35 Tuesday morning and are still moving northeast. A few have been severe with some moderate size hail.

These will likely not impact our afternoon severe weather threat. There's still plenty of instability in the atmosphere.

The main round of severe weather will start in western Oklahoma around 3 p.m. and march east. We're expecting storms in the Oklahoma City Metro between 5 and 9 p.m.

Any storm that develops Tuesday afternoon with likely become severe quickly and pose a threat for baseball size hail, 80 mph wind gusts, and tornadoes. This threat does include the Oklahoma City Metro.

All of our trackers are already out. Jim Gardner is ready to go, and the entire News 9 weather team will be here!
