The road to the White House hits close to home as GOP frontrunner Donald Trump made it clear that Gov. Mary Fallin is on his radar for Vice President.

South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer, a Trump supporter, suggested Fallin as a possible Trump VP on CNN's “State of the Union” Sunday. Right after the segment, Trump tweeted out that that suggestion was great advice.

In response, Fallin told News 9 in part "It's a great honor to even be mentioned as a possible consideration for vice president. However, my first and foremost goal is fulfilling my duties as governor."

Earlier in the show, Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr, said a vice presidential pick wouldn't likely come until after the convention.

Meanwhile, all five of the contenders make a final push in five northeast states with primaries Tuesday, and with Trump poised to rack up even more delegates, Ted Cruz and John Kasich have announced plans to team up and campaign in separate states to stop him.

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton leads in several statewide polls ahead of Tuesday, but her national matchup with Bernie Sanders continues to shrink.
