Wisconsin Primary Shaping Up To Be Close Race For Both Democrats, Republicans

Tuesday's Wisconsin primary is shaping up to be a close race for both Democrats and Republicans. The outcome could be significant for Donald Trump as he tries to get the nomination before the GOP convention.

At a campaign rally, Donald Trump said it's time for John Kasich to get out of his way.

"You shouldn't be littering up the process because that's what he's doing. It's literally a disgrace, I'll tell you," Trump said.

In response, Kasich tweeted, "That's not how our Republic works Donald. We'll keep fighting until someone reaches a majority of delegates."

Right now, Trump is about 500 delegates away from clinching the nomination outright. Trump's other rival, Ted Cruz, made several stops in Wisconsin, insisting he's the Republicans best shot at winning the White House.

A new CBS News battleground tracker poll shows Ted Cruz six points ahead of Trump in Wisconsin with Kasich far behind. The same shows Bernie Sanders two points ahead of Hillary Clinton.

After Wisconsin, much of the attention then shifts to New York where Clinton holds a 10 point lead over Sanders and Trump has a commanding lead over the rest of the GOP Field.

Just this weekend Clinton agreed to debate Sanders in New York. That state's primary is set for April 19.
