The Oklahoma Public Employees Association (OPEA) held a news conference Tuesday afternoon and laid out several recommendations to state leaders on how to improve revenue and prevent more budget cuts.

These recommendations include repealing the latest income tax cut, modernize the tax code, raise tobacco taxes, eliminate unproductive tax credits and suspend corporate tax credits and incentives for 2017, among other things.

In a news release, the OPEA said, “We refuse to believe lawmakers are more interested in protecting corporate tax credits and tax cuts for the state’s top earners than preventing additional, harmful cuts to state services.”

We have attached the complete news conference to this story.
