A young man in Greenville, North Carolina, hoped he'd become famous for posting a picture on Facebook of him flipping off a police car.
Instead, Greenville police invited him to ride along with an officer to see what they really do. Great idea, and he has agreed to do it.
Here's what you had to say about it:
Michael first, "This is a great thing! I've been on a few ride-a-longs with OKC's finest and it was quite the eye opener for me. Those guys deserve our utmost respect!"
Sara writes, "Amen. Will be interested in seeing the report of the ride along..."
And Ron adds, "I believe if more people had a ride around they would find what police do daily is help people out."
From David in Blanchard, "More people should walk a mile in a cop's shoe and see what it's like on the other side of the coin."
Smith from Chandler chimes in with this, "Who besides the military and law enforcement run TOWARDS gunfire instead of away from it? Next time you have a problem, call a gangbanger."
And finally Kat said, "I only wish more reporters & media outlets would take a stand and stop the constant negative reports on police departments."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
