The fire threat will stay extreme Tuesday evening with a gusty south wind between 15 to 25 mph. Skies will remain mostly clear with temperatures only dropping to the upper 50s.

Wednesday will be another warm, dry, and windy day with an extreme fire threat. Sunshine and a gusty south wind between 25 to 45 mph will lead to temperatures in the low 80s out ahead of a cold front that will bring rain to the panhandle.

Showers and storms are also likely in far southeast Oklahoma.
