Oklahoma National Guard Commander Visits Azerbaijan

A delegation led by the commander of Oklahoma's National Guard is visiting Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan's state news agency, the country's Ministry of Defense says the delegation led by U.S. Brigadier General Hopper Smith held meetings with officials to discuss ways of expanding military relations between Azerbaijan and the U.S. and strengthening cooperation in the field of regional security.

The delegation visited an Azerbaijan Air Force base and watched MIG-29 warplanes during a performance.

The Azerbaijan State News Agency says the delegation also visited the Central Military Hospital of the Armed Forces.
