Arrest Made In OKC's 17th Homicide Of 2016

Police have arrested one person in connection to the 17th homicide of 2016 in Oklahoma City.

According to police, Cameron Alexander Franklin, 20, was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder. He's being held at the Oklahoma County Jail without bond. 

At about 10:20 p.m. Friday, March 11, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 1200 block of N.W. 2nd Street. When officers arrived, they found an unidentified male lying outside, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported they heard a verbal altercation and later heard shots. Investigators said they developed information, identifying Franklin as a suspect in the victim’s death.

Franklin was located the following evening in Moore,  and arrested for the complaint of first-degree murder. 

The victim has not been identified.
