Rollover Crash On SB I-44 In SW OKC Blocks Traffic For Miles

Emergency crews are on the scene of a one-vehicle rollover crash on the southbound side of Interstate 44 on the southwest side of the metro, Thursday afternoon.

First responders were called to the scene of the crash on SB I-44 near SW 29th St. When crews arrive they found the vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe, was on its top sitting in the middle of the interstate.

One adult male and two small children were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. EMSA was called, but there do not appear to be any serious injuries .

Traffic on the interstate is backed up several miles, from the scene of the crash all the way to Lake Hefner Parkway.    

Authorities are allowing traffic to drive slowly on the shoulder. It is unclear how long the road will remain blocked.
