OKLAHOMA CITY - One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in southeast Oklahoma City, police said.

The accident happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of SE 59 Street. 

A car lost control and hit another vehicle head-on, police said.

Police said the driver of the vehicle that lost control died at the scene and the passenger was taken to hospital.

The driver in the second vehicle was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The street near the wreck is closed down.
