OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police in San Antonio made an arrest in connection with the death of an Oklahoma woman.

Newly filed court documents show the suspect called 911 himself before leaving town last week.

According to court documents, the victim called for help 13 times last month, reporting suspicious activity and harassing phone calls. The woman said she was afraid of the man.

A cryptic call to Oklahoma City's 911 dispatch sent officers and emergency responders racing to a home on Friday. Inside, investigators found Raelyn Grant dead, "stabbed at least three time in the back."

The caller would only tell the dispatcher Grant "was hurt real bad," but he wouldn't say how she got hurt.

Court documents now point to Merwin Hill, Grant's accused killer, as the man who made that call.

A neighbor News 9 spoke with said Hill was no stranger to the area. Grant confided in the neighbor, asking her for help with a man she was having issues with, a man she claimed was stalking her.

“She'd been over to my house a couple of times actually to call the police or to ask me to leave my dog out to kind of warn her if someone was there,” said the neighbor.

The woman last saw Grant at her house just two weeks ago, telling her about a man stalking her.

“As soon the guy that used to live in the house called me and said that they had found a body and I just knew it was her,” she said.

Police said three weeks before Grant died, Hill was arrested and released the next day for breaking a window in her home.

Grant filed a police report on February 15, stating Hill texted her and wanted to "come over to her house"  but he was told to stay away.

Grant died 11 days later.

Hill was arrested at a northwest San Antonio apartment complex.

He's still in jail in San Antonio and is being held without bond.
