OKC Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery Of US Cellular Store

Oklahoma City police released several surveillance photos of a man accused of robbing a US Cellular store at gunpoint.

According to police, just after 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, officers responded to a silent hold up alarm at US Cellular, located at 9200 S. Penn. Avenue. Two employees told police that a man came into the store and threatened them with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The employees said the suspect told them to lock the doors and act normal. He reportedly told the employees that if he sees the police, he would shoot both of them, get into a shootout, kill the police, before shooting himself.

Police said the suspect got away with tens of thousands of dollars in cellphones and tablets. He fled in a vehicle he stole from one of the employees. The vehicle was found abandoned a short time later.

The suspect is described as a white male who stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.
