One Facebook user is applauding an Oklahoma City police officer for trying to rescue a stray dog.
Kelli sent a message to the Oklahoma City Police Department, saying she watched for 45 minutes while Lieutenant Bryan Taylor patiently earned the dog's trust.
Kelli said Lieutenant Taylor blocked traffic when the terrified animal ran into the street. He also used food to try and coax her to come to him.
It turns out the dog had escaped from a nearby neighborhood. Before he left, the lieutenant said the animal was reunited with a girl who'd been searching for her.
Kelli said Lieutenant Taylor's display of compassion and tenderness taught her two children why they should always respect and honor law enforcement.
