A probation officer with the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs is the third person to be arrested and charged with trying to smuggle contraband into an Oklahoma prison.

Terry Clark, 56, of Hartshorne was arrested Monday.

Her arrest follows the arrest Sunday of two Tulsa residents, Brandon Morgan, 23, and Reynesha Gatewood, 20, during a traffic stop in Hartshorne.  They were booked into the Pittsburg County jail on complaints of conspiracy to deliver contraband to a state prison.

Authorities said they confiscated 25 pounds of tobacco, two pounds of smokeless tobacco and 32 cellphones from their vehicle. They said they also found four pounds of marijuana.

A probable cause affidavit filed in Pittsburg County states Clark admitted storing the items at her home to be used in a drop at the state prison in Stringtown.

When Morgan and Gatewood picked up a duffle bag containing the contraband, authorities arrested them.

According to the affidavit, Clark said her brother-in-law, a prisoner at Stringtown, had been in contact with her and was setting up the drop. She stated she lived in the home owned by her brother-in-law rent free and had participated in several previous drops.

District 18 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force director Tim Turner said at least three prison drops have been attempted across the state in the past month.
