Single-Vehicle Crash Sends One To Hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY -

A single-vehicle accident sent an Edmond man to the hospital overnight.

Police say that Brandon Mathis, 39, lost control of his 2011 Suzuki motorcycle while departing I-44 northbound. Mathis struck a concrete barrier wall and was thrown approximately 10 feet from the point of contact.

Mathis was taken to OU Medical Center and admitted in critical condition with head, arm and leg injuries. Officers determined that Mathis was moving at an unsafe speed.
