A woman and three children managed to get out of a vehicle before it was hit by a train Sunday night in northwest Oklahoma City.

The vehicle was hit by a train shortly after 8:15 p.m. after the occupants abandoned the vehicle on the tracks at Britton Road and Western Avenue, Oklahoma City firefighters said.
