Police are looking for a man who was caught on camera robbing a Subway restaurant at gunpoint.

According to police, just after 9 p.m. on Friday, February 5, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Subway, located at 4227 N.W. 23rd Street. Two employees at the restaurant said the suspect came in and ordered a sandwich. They said the suspect then pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at both employees.

One employee said he turned around and began running. That’s when the suspect grabbed the other employee and took him at gunpoint to the back of the kitchen area, looking for the employee who ran away.

When the suspect couldn’t locate that employee, he took the other employee back to the front of the restaurant and told him to open the cash register. Police said the suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and ran away.

According to police, the clerk did notice that the suspect was missing most of his front teeth. Although the suspect vehicle was not caught on video, witnesses reported that he drove off in a black Chevy S10 pickup truck.

On Friday, February 12, police released a surveillance video of the entire incident.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300 or submit a tip online. Callers can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
