The person accused of stabbing, strangling and beating a woman is now in the Oklahoma County Jail. And the victim is safe in a shelter.

The alleged victim in the domestic violence case said 35-year-old Chad Leforce took everything from her including her sense of self-worth and sense of security.

“He’s ruined me,” she said.

And she said the court documents filed February 5 only give a glimpse of what she's gone through. The reports outline the incidents on the January 18 - a day she said was filled with his fits of anger and bouts of brutal attacks.

“I lost count the times he hit me,” she said.

And later that day, the documents allege he also kicked her, stabbed her, and struck her "in the back of her head with a Maglite flashlight."

So on January 19, she went to a Jackson Hewitt Tax Services on South Penn thinking maybe tax money would help get her out. “I just had to think of something.”

She said he wouldn't leave her there alone. And eventually came inside - where managers told News 9 they hid her behind a door. “He come into Jackson Hewitt, kicked the door in, grabbed me by my throat, threw me out into the lobby in front of all these people,” she explained.

By this time the clerks call police and eventually Leforce was arrested.

“I am reaching out to anybody that is in a domestic violence situation. There is help out there. Get out! You will be like me or worse and not survive,” she said.

Her home caught fire the day before Leforce's arrest warrant was issued.

Fire crews are still investigating the official cause, but the victim believes Leforce had something to do with it.
