A worker at Rocky Farmer’s Co-Op in Washita County, Oklahoma, died after he reportedly slid into some equipment in the grain elevator Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Washita County Sheriff’s office, at about 4:36 p.m., emergency crews responded to a 911 call from Rocky Farmer’s Co-Op requesting rescue and EMS response for an employee who had slid into some equipment in the grain elevator.

Rocky Fire Department, Cordell Fire Department, Cordell Ambulance Service, Sentinel EMS, Air Evac Lifeteam, and Washita County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.

A short time later, the Sheriff’s Office received a second call from Rocky Farmers Co-Op stating that they believed the trapped employee’s injuries may have been fatal.
