Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes Into Metro Business

A suspected drunk driver crashes through a metro business overnight.

The owner of a shop in "The Wedding Boutique" near May and Wilshire is cleaning up Sunday, after she says a drunk driver crashed into her business.

Amanda Sikich said the driver destroyed a concrete parking barrier before slamming through the building's brick exterior wall, and then continuing through the business.

“There are nine businesses inside of this, so it’s not affecting just me, there are other wedding vendors that this is affecting as well. We should be able to do our jobs of course, it’s just finding a place to meet our clients that’s going to be a little difficult,” said Sikich.

Police said the female driver was driving a Cadillac Escalade. She was taken to the hospital for a blood test.
