Firefighters have contained a house fire in southwest Oklahoma City, Thursday morning.
At about 7:30 a.m., crews responded to the fire at a home in the 600 block of S.W. 51st. Firefighters reported seeing heavy smoke.
The fire was contained quickly.
One man was inside the home at the time the house caught fire. He said the smoke alarm woke him up and he was able to escape. He is being treated for smoke inhalation, according to the fire department.
Officials believe the fire started on the back porch before spreading to the attic. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
