Moore police arrest a former high school student for making what police call violent and graphic threats against a group of students and the principal.

The former student was arrested Tuesday for those threats, then again Wednesday on a felony complaint.

Police say the group of students and the Moore High School principal were mentioned by name in the threat. While no specific day was given as to when the threats would be carried out, investigators found it to be credible.

Moore police aren't releasing the specifics of the threat made, but do say the targeted students are members of the athletic department.

“It was very graphic in how he would carry this threat out,” said Sgt. Jeremy Lewis.

Investigators say they learned of the threat by former Moore High School student, 17 year-old Robert Dobbs, on Monday.

Police say school administration first received word from someone connected to an alternative education program where Dobbs attended.

“He's just very angry at the school and those specific people in general. He's obviously very disturbed,” said Sgt. Lewis

Police met with students mentioned in the threat and their parents informing them of the situation. On Wednesday, extra officers made their presence known on campus.

"If we didn't think that it wasn't safe we would have stopped school,” said Sgt. Lewis.

Police say Dobbs was initially arrested Tuesday for making the threats, but was released on bond. Then, he was arrested again Wednesday afternoon on a felony complaint.

His mother was also arrested Wednesday while police were searching the home for a gun. She's in jail in connection with growing marijuana and gun possession.

Police told News 9 they often investigate threats made to the school, but rarely do they find them credible.
