Oklahoma City hosts the Orlando Magic on Wednesday at Chesapeake Arena. Here are a few things to know:

Chasing history

The Thunder (37-13) continues to march toward the best record in franchise history. OKC won 60 games back in the 2012-13 campaign and have a real shot to reach that mark this season. The Thunder would have to go 24-8 the rest of the way to get that record. If OKC wants to do this, it must win games like Wednesday’s against the lowly Magic.

Make it easier this time

Remember the first time the Thunder played Orlando this season? If you don’t, that’s fine, because it was back in October. It was OKC’s second game of the season, and the Magic probably should have won. Orlando led by 18 entering the fourth quarter, but OKC stormed back and sent the game into OT. Two sessions later, the Thunder eked out a 139-136 win. Russell Westbrook scored 48 while Kevin Durant dropped 43. Orlando had four guys with at least 20.

Take care of business

The Magic just aren’t any good. They’ve lost five straight on the road, 13 of 15 overall and eight of nine to the Thunder. OKC is better, playing at home, and needs to win to help secure the No. 3 playoff seed down the road. Why is that so important? Because it means not seeing the Warriors until the West Finals.
