Metro Man Arrested, Accused Of Threats, Stalking

On Tuesday, Oklahoma City police announced the arrest of a man accused of threatening and harassing multiple people across the metro and even out of state.

OKC Police tell News 9 that Norman officers arrested 36-year-old William Blaine Aiken on Friday morning at his workplace; a construction site near 24th and east Lindsay.

“I am so happy he's in jail,” said Debbie Preble, one of many victims heard on Aiken’s You Tube channel.

Preble says she is relieved this nightmare has finally come to an end. She says her family was constantly harassed by Aiken.

“It started out with my husband and him calling and harassing my husband and was going to come to our house and telling my husband that we were having an affair,” said Preble. It put a strain on our marriage. It was rough.”

Oklahoma City police say Aiken used the name Kevin Burbank on his YouTube channel and that's what made him hard to track down. Most of the page's content is too graphic to show. But prove Aiken pranked hundreds of people all over the country.

Police tell News 9 there are multiple victims all over the metro, even a metro police officer.

Police say the harassment was so bad that some of the victims moved to avoid further contact.

“He knows where they live he tells them he's gone through their trash, he really makes their life miserable,” said MSgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City police department.

“When he's making these threats, he's calling people and threatening to do harm to them, threatening to kill them, threatening to kill their families and makes very gruesome type threats to them like cutting off fingers, torture, those types of things.”

Preble says she and her husband had never even met Aiken, but discovered he was an acquaintance of one of her husband's co-workers.

“He thought that police would never catch him,” said Preble. “He went to great lengths to keep the police from catching him.”

But Oklahoma City police detective Clint Dellinger was just as persistent as Aiken was relentless. He tracked down phone numbers and ultimately an IP address to finally identify Aiken, who lived and worked in Norman. That’s when Dellinger notified Norman Police, who had their own run-ins with him.

“They actually had multiple reports with this same suspect under the name of Kevin Burbank,” said Dellinger.

And police say they do believe there may be even more victims out there who have not reported their encounters with Aiken. And both investigators and Debbie are encouraging them to come forward to help build the criminal case against him.

News 9 checked and Aiken does have a history of stalking and harassing people. He also served time in prison for it, as well as for assault with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and attempted burglary.
