Arrest Made In OKC Man's Shooting Death

Police arrested one person in connection to the shooting death of a man at an Oklahoma City motel over the weekend.

According to police, 30-year-old Nicholas Victor Freeman was arrested at about 2 p.m. on Monday in the 5700 block of S. Agnew, in connection to the shooting death of 38-year-old Justin Lucas.

At about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the report of a disturbance at Royal Inn, located at 2800 S. I-35 Service Road. When they arrived, they found the victim, Lucas, lying on an upper level landing within the complex, suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported to police that an altercation occurred at the motel and a series of gunshots were heard shortly thereafter.

Lucas was transported to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. 

An arrest warrant was issued Monday afternoon for Freeman. He is being booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of first-degree murder.
