Clerk Fights Back Against Armed Robber At NW OKC Convenience Store

Oklahoma City Police have released some unusual surveillance footage of a convenience store clerk fighting back against an armed robber over the weekend.

It happened at the Circle L Foodmart near W. Britton Rd. and N. Western Ave. Saturday at 8 p.m.

The suspect enters with a gun and demands cash, but the clerk is having none of it. The clerk, armed with a tire iron, swings at the gun-wielding robber and eventually runs him off and suffers no injuries.  

Police are still looking for the suspect, who fled the store empty handed. If you recognize the man you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
