After holding off the Nuggets in Denver last night, the Thunder returns home to face Charlotte with a five-game win streak on the line.

A win tonight would tie Oklahoma City’s longest winning streak on the season at six games. The Thunder won six-in-a-row from Dec. 3rd – Dec. 16th.

The Hornets (19-22) are bringing up the rear in the Southeast division and have won just twice in 2016, but point guard Kemba Walker is fresh off a 52-point outing against Utah. That broke Glen Rice’s Hornets record for points in a game.

The Thunder (31-12) are comfortably in third place in the Western Conference with 11 games remaining before the All-Star break. All-Star voting closed Monday night and results will be announced on Thursday, but Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook looked squarely in position for starting spots in the most recent returns.

Durant is third in the NBA in scoring at 26.6 ppg and Westbrook is seventh at 24.2 ppg, making them the top scoring duo in the league. Golden State’s Steph Curry (30.0) and Klay Thompson (20.6) are the next closest combo.

The Thunder has won 10-straight against the Hornets and hasn’t lost to Charlotte since the 2009-10 season. That was the Thunder’s second year in Oklahoma City and Charlotte was still the Bobcats!
