CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Missouri Store Clerk Shoots Back At Would-Be Robber

Posted: Updated:

A Missouri store clerk decided to fight back against a would-be robber.

Surveillance video shows the suspect point a gun in the clerk’s face behind the counter at a store in St. Louis, Missouri, and demand money. That's when the clerk, Sone Maniphonh, grabbed her own firearm and pointed it at the suspect.

Maniphonh’s husband saw what was happening and got into a scuffle with the crook. After the suspect pushed her husband down, Maniphonh pulled the trigger.

"I shoot him right away. I swear to God, I don't want to kill people. I'm too old, but I have to protect myself and protect my husband," Sone Maniphonh said.

The suspect fired several shots before leaving the store, but no one was hurt.
