Last night, I used some area lakes to show you how much oilfield waste water is being injected back into the earth under Oklahoma every year.

It's roughly the equivalent of five Arcadia Lakes or 10 Lake Overholsers every year.

I was simply providing an illustration of fact, but it stirred a lot of people up:

Like Wayne, "What you have done is to create fear and animosity in the minds of the general public who have no concept, idea, or education about geology, oil and gas processes.."

Jill says, "You did more research than probably all the people complaining about this did! Very informative and not one bit 'fear mongering.'"

From Tracy, "My son, the petroleum engineer, had explained this to me a few months ago and it makes sense!"

Ryan says, "Thanks... that's a lot of water! How could that not cause problems?"

From Justin, "That sounds like a lot of water, but when you disperse it over the entire state it becomes a insignificant amount."

But it's not spread out all over the state.

Robert says, "Thanks Kelly. You earned your wages this week."

Kathy didn't think much of my commentary, "Really a bad choice for your 2 Cents...."

But Peggy appreciated it, "Kelly, don't stop keeping us informed. It is getting serious now. We all know it may not be all the injection wells but we know it's not helping."

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
