Suspect Dead After Crashing Off Overpass Following Chase In Kingfisher County

Posted: Updated:

The suspect involved in a pursuit with Kingfisher County Sheriff’s deputies died after crashing his vehicle off of an overpass on state highway 81 just south of Dover, Okla., Tuesday afternoon.

It is unclear what prompted the initial chase, but authorities say the suspect’s vehicle crashed down from an overpass onto railroad tracks, about three and a half miles south of Dover. The identity of the suspect has not yet been released.

The highway was narrowed to one lane while crews work the scene.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) troopers and Kingfisher County Sheriff's deputies are investigating.
