Former Oklahoma starting center and captain Ty Darlington won't be playing in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday night, but he will get the chance to be recognized for the incredible career he had as a Sooner.

Darlington was the recipient of the William V. Campbell Trophy on December 8 at the 58th NFF Annual Awards Dinner, but will be honored at halftime of Monday's game between Clemson and Alabama as well. The Campbell Trophy recognizes an individual as the absolute best in the country for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary community leadership.

Along with the trophy, Darlington also receives a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship.
