Steve's Travel Blog: Bring The Gloves For This One

Packing for a five-night Thunder journey is not easy.  I crammed casual clothes and some dress clothes into what used to be a Thunder Blue suitcase; now it's more black and blue from the suitcase carousel rides. I'm starting to wonder if my once sparkling suitcase will make it to the playoffs.

So I was all packed, or so I thought. I remembered in the nick of time that game three on this road trip will take place just south of Canada in Minneapolis.  I'm afraid to look and see what the temps may be when I get there, guessing teens for the high with a chance of snow. So my gloves and cap squeezed in for the ride.

I'm looking most forward to the middle game on this trip. I was in seventh grade the last time I visited Portland, actually grew up a Blazers fan (the Bill Walton era).  I went to about four Triple-A baseball games there during my visit. My parents were on a business trip, so I spent most of my time at the ball park a few blocks from our hotel. I may stop by the old stadium if time permits on Saturday.

I flew American from OKC to LA (non-stop) Friday morning; please don’t tell Southwest (my usual ride), they may get a little upset. My Southwest journey resumes in Portland.
