A man's face tattoos led to him being arrested at a Broken Arrow convenience store.

Officers were called to the Kum & Go in the 1000 block of East Kenosha at about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday after a clerk told police she had asked a man to leave the store for wearing a mask.

Police said the man, 36-year-old Michael Carter, then locked himself in the men's restroom.

They said Carter began cussing at officers when he came out of the restroom about 10 minutes later. They arrested Carter and booked him into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of interfering with an officer.

It is not clear if Michael Carter was ever really wearing a mask, of if the employee just thought he was because of his face tattoos.
