OKLAHOMA CITY - A chilly evening is ahead of us as temperatures cool into the mid-30s under light winds.

Across western and southwestern Oklahoma, under light winds, some patchy fog and drizzle will develop. This could become freezing drizzle late overnight mainly north of Interstate 40 and west of the metro as temperatures fall down below freezing.

Overnight lows will range in the upper 20s to mid-30s.

On our last day of 2015, we’re looking at plenty of clouds sticking around with temperatures remaining cool in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds will remain light out of the northeast at 5 to 10 mph.

If you’re heading out to celebrate New Year’s eve, no weather complications. Conditions will be chilly but nothing too unusual for this time of the year. Expect temperatures to fall out of the 30s into 20s overnight under partly cloudy skies and light winds.

For the first day of 2016, we’re looking at sunny skies, south winds and warmer temperatures with highs back into the upper 40s. This warming trend looks to continue as we get into a much quieter pattern with sunny skies and highs into the 50s by Monday.

Next chance of rain looks to arrive by next Tuesday with highs in the 50s.
