Six people were rescued by boat in a Jenks neighborhood early Monday.

The neighborhood is near 33rd West Avenue and 101st  Street South.  Authorities say a family of four and family of two called the fire department around 2 a.m. because they wanted to leave their flooded properties.

A Jenks Fire supervisor says no one went to the hospital, and no one was in danger during the rescue. Police say because of the high water from nearby Polecat Creek, 33rd West Avenue and 101st Street South is closed.
