OKLAHOMA CITY -

Heavy rains Saturday night and all day Sunday wreaked havoc with motorists on area roads.

Truck driver Rodney Gould was on his way to Seattle when he stopped at Love’s Travel Center on Interstate 35 and NE 122 Street for gas.

He said he normally takes secondary highways while passing through Oklahoma and Kansas, but he said he’s sticking to the interstate this time.

“Ice. I ain’t scared of snow, uh, nothing else, but ice,” he said. “Basically, if you can’t steer, you can’t drive, so basically if you lose it, you’re gone.”
